Certainly as a child I thought "wow it sure would be cool to be a real mangakaka in the land of Japan."

But now that I know how that life tends to go, I'm perfectly happy with the casual, luxurious life of an English teacher making three webcomics.

Though some of my Japanese friends refer to my side job as "mangaka" and it brings young-me just a bit of joy ;)
